PARTNER WORKSHOP

Translating Trends into the Colors of Tomorrow

๐Ÿ“… 9/12/2024

โฐ 11:15 AM - 12:00 PM

๐Ÿ“ Palmer Events Center: Room 1

Color sells. But the right color, at the right time, on the right product, at the right price sells best! Color is the first element of design we see. It is over 80% of the reason a consumer purchases your product over your competitors when comparing similar features and functions. And color increases comprehension of the product story by 76% whether that story is performance, durability, sustainability, brand, or another attribute.

Before the conceptualization, development, or application of color, in order to successfully bring a color to market, we must first begin at the foundation of foresight. The evolution, emergence, and lifecycle of trends drive human behavior and consumer purchasing. Embedding forecasting methodologies and practices into the strategic product development process is imperative to designing for the future.

In this interactive workshop Kiki will take you through her tri-level trend methodology, 6 pillars of forecasting, and trend explorers technique incorporating tools for you to hone your foresight skills and lean into your design intuition. Showcasing the distillation of mega to macro to micro youโ€™ll partake in a collaborative experience from global catalyst through actionable futures into cultivation and identification of CMF for product application and design. Creating your own concept color Kiki will conclude with sharing the process of turning your concept into reality.
